K. Yasin Moon-Smith Advocating for Early Infant and Toddler Literacy

Author K. Yasin Moon-Smith was born in raised in Flint MI. I started writing hip hop songs as a youth and it turned into poetry. When I become a mother used the passion of writing to publish my first book dedicated to my two children.

“To Catch a Butterfly – A butterflies Life Cycle,” is my first masterpiece this book is one big poem, It includes phonics and science. My mission is simple I want to bring the joy back to reading a book. Make reading fun, that’s my goal. I’m a graduate of the University of MI and currently live in Lathrup Village MI with my husband and two children.
